Madesu:First Duet Performance

chapter four.here we go.i ain't got any inspirations from nothing.let's just let it flow.

he's my boyfriend.he is.yes,he's my boyfriend.that words kept showing in venna's head.it's been a good life.for her.she got it all.popularity,nice boyfriend,popular friends,etc.it felt like a dream.she wore a cheerio outfit everyday and walk with fransis together.what could be better?

"okay guys,next week's assignment is.................a duet.i need you guys to pair up and sing a song" said mr veri

hmmm a duet huh?who should i sing with?venna thought.it's funny,fransis haven't join the madesu club.they never really talk about it.she saw yasmine and albert,jodi and jessica,paired up already.she had to choose between icha or michael.she was confused though.she wasn't close to any of those two.but she figure,her voice matched with michael's better.so,she kind of asked him

"michael,can i talk to you for a sec?" said venna while michael was opening his locker in the hallway

"sure babe.what's up?" said michael.venna didn't surprised that he called her 'babe'.he did that to every chick in this school.

"it's about the duet assignment.you have a partner already?"

"well,no.so,we practiced at my place tonight?" he said.it was obvious that venna was about to ask him to pair up with her.and he's not stupid.

"um.....okay" said venna with a little hesitation.

the school was over.venna walked with fransis.

"you want me to take you home?" said the boy

"no,i want to go home by myself"

"you sure?"

"yeah.don't worry"

"okay then,goodbye.be careful.if you need anything,just call me" he said.

fransis kissed her forehead and went home with his car.venna felt calm.everything is going to be alright.she went to the parking lot and found michael with his truck.they drove to his house.nobody was there.michael's parents were going out of town selling sheep.his parents were sheep farmers.they went to his room and started to think of a song to sing.it was a bit of awkward because venna was sitting on his bed while michael was sitting on a chair in front of the desk.they didn't make eye contact.

"harder than i thought" said michael

"finding the perfect song is hard"

"hmmm what should we sing?"

"i'm blank too" said venna

"you know,our voices do match good together.we need to find a calm song or something like that"

"i dunno.i'm gonna look some songs in my ipod"

venna pulled out her ipod from her pocket.she started playing random song.she'll know when she found the right song.michael jumped out of the chair and sat next to her.he listened to her ipod too.then a song came out.they both snapped from their daydreams,looked at each other,and speak at the same time.

"THIS IS IT"

they started practicing and practicing that night.it was filled with laughter.michael can really make venna laugh.maybe he's such a dick in school,but here,now,he's so sweet and nice.venna felt special.she felt like she's the only one.like she's one in a million.she felt good.

after that night,venna hang out with michael more often.to practice,or just hang out.

yasmine and albert practice often too.it's because yasmine always pushed him to.albert is kind of scared of her,so he couldn't say no.he's also not the best singer,but a hell good dancer.it was their turn to sing the duet.they sang "what's my name" rihanna.albert did the rap part while hip hop dancing.it was kinda cool.even though he accidentally slapped yasmine's face while he was dancing and she was singing with her mouth opened all over the place.after that slap incident,yasmine stared at albert with her 'i'm going to kill you with my kitchen knife' look.

fransis and venna were talking and staring at each other in the hallway.fransis was smiling and talking about their plan to go to sevel tebet.venna didn't really pay attention at the conversation.hmm i'm looking forward to practice with michael today.wait,stop ven,why am i thinking about him?i'm talking with my boyfriend right now.she thought.and her eyes changed direction to michael when he was searching stuff in his locker.

"so,is this date a go?" fransis asked

"um wha?of course.i gotta go okay,to class" said venna.she was just daydreaming

she went to class.fransis was confused.then he followed where her eyes were looking.he saw michael.what?michael?what the hell is going on here?he thought.naomi also saw how venna looked at michael.she got this pissed off look on her face.and naomi walked over to michael.

"so,mike.you've been hanging with venna lately.something going on there?" asked naomi

"ah nothing.just practicing on our duet assignment" he said

"oooookay.hey,wanna hang out later?" she said

"no can do babe.gotta go practicing" he said closed his locker and walked away.

naomi was just standing there with her books that she hugged.her face was sad.but good thing chacha was there.she can always make her feel better.they linked pinkies and walked together in the hallway.

the school ended.michael came to venna.

"hey,i know we have practice after school today.but my mom told me to make this weird cake.she said it's for.....i forgot.and she told me i can ask for help to friends or anyone.can you..."

"ssshh say no more.i'm good at making cakes.let's go" said venna

michael smiled and they went to his house.they were at the kitchen.making a cake.michael took some flour and throw it at venna.her face was a mess.

"michael,you are so gonna get it!!" she said

they played a little with the flour and laughed together.it was fun.

"hey there's something in your face.let me get that for you" said venna

she cleaned some flour in michael's face and their eyes met,glued at each other.they stared for awhile.

"um,we better continue making cake" said michael trying to look at other place.

today was the big day.it's venna's and michael's turn to sing their duet.they went in front of the choir room.michael grabbed a guitar.he started playing it.and they started to sing

they sang it so beautifuly.and it was so sweet.they were holding hands at the end,but instantly let go.wonderful.michael smiled at venna,and so was her.naomi saw that from the door,and so was fransis.
